Salary
The
basic salary for
Foreign Teachers
at Global
Kids
begins at
NT$60,000
(New Taiwan Dollars) per month and
NT$600
per hour is paid for extra teaching hours (Buxiban
Department). Work hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm
weekdays.
From the 13th month, the monthly pay will
increase with NT$1,200 every 6 months until the 60th
month.
From the 13th month, the hourly pay will
increase with NT$12 every 6 months until the 60th month.
Visas
Once you
start working at Global Kids full time, we will
apply for your residence visa (ARC) and work permit. We will
also apply for your health insurance card.
The cost of Public
Health Insurance is
approximately NT$236-830 a month, which is
automatically deducted from your salary.
Taxes
The
National
Taiwanese Income Tax Withholding Rate is 20% for the
first 183 days of
your
stay in Taiwan, then it drops to 8% thereafter. Teachers are assisted when filing for their annual income taxes during the tax filing season from March 1 to May 31 and departure filing when they finish up employment and depart Taiwan. Teachers usually get a tax return at the beginning of August each year.

Free Accommodation
At Global Kids we
provide furnished accommodation for our teachers
free of charge. All the apartments are within walking
distance from school. Teachers are, however,
expected to pay for their water, gas, security fee and electricity,
which is usually less than NT$2500.
Yearly Continuation
of Contract Bonuses
The following bonuses
will be paid:
Continuing to work a
second year
- NT$20,000.
Continuing to work a third year - NT$40,000.
Continuing to work a fourth year - NT$60,000.
Continuing to work a fifth year - NT$80,000.
Continuing to work a sixth year - NT$100,000.

Contract renewal
depends on satisfactory performance and attendance.
Holiday
You are entitled to 3
weeks holiday per year of which one week is paid.
Holidays can only be taken after one year of employment. However, if you do want to take off
a day or 2 after working 6 months or longer, please discuss it with management. Something
surely can be arranged.
