Taiwan is truly the heart of Asia. Its friendly people, rich culture and amazing natural beauty make is a great country to live and work in. There is really a lot to see and do and most of it is free.
Taiwan is a very well developed country and offers its citizens and visitors a lot in freedom, safety, activities and comfort of living.
Our teachers enjoy a diverse variety of activities such as hiking, going to the beach, cycling, wall climbing, sightseeing, exploring, visiting museums, etc.
The cost of living in Taiwan is fairly low, so you’ll be able to save a good amount of your salary, if you choose to do so or have debt to pay off. The fact that you don’t have to pay rent will help you even further. Teachers do have to share the cost of electricity, water, gas, the building security fee and Wi-Fi cost of the apartment provided by our school.
The public transportation system in Taiwan, and especially in Taipei, is efficient, safe and cheap. You can use it to get anywhere. The mountains, hiking trails, beach and hot springs aren’t far away. There are bus stops and a train station very close to our school and the nearest MRT station isn’t far either. Most new teachers also buy scooters soon after arriving in Taiwan.
Many teachers also sign up for Chinese classes after they become confident in the classroom and got used to life in Taiwan. This will improve your living satisfaction even more and will open a lot of doors for you.
The Taiwanese Government provides Public Healthcare for its citizens, which is great. It was rated as the most effective one worldwide last year. We will help you to enroll for this (it’s compulsory) and you and our school will contribute towards it monthly.
